Stampin' Up! Card Ideas from Canadian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Sandi MacIver

Stampin Up Gift Of Love

Hi Stampers, today I’m sharing Stampin Up Gift Of Love.  This Host Stamp set can be found on page 201 of the catalog and is only available for purchase with Host Dollars which you can earn with a $200.(Canadian) or higher order. (And it’s so worth it – you get the images as well as 6 sentiments, – an especially good deal).

This set is a “Two Step” stamping set meaning it has a stamp for the outline and a stamp to add the colours within the outline.  This technique is great fun, however the outline stamps can also be used by themselves and water coloured with an Aqua Pen and Ink Pad lids resulting in a additional technique you can use this stamp set for.

Check out the little hash marks in the background, I created those with the fill in stamp for the leaves.  I stamped them in Flirty Flamingo, which is the same color as the card base so it gives a “watermark” effect.

Next, I added a strip of In Colour Paper Stack Designer Paper matted with little Peekaboo Peach to help highlight my painting.

The Sentiment is White Heat Embossed onto a piece of Black card stock and cut down to a banner.

I coloured the Gladiolas with Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach and the leaves are done with Pear Pizzazz.  When dry, I cut them out so I could layer them on the card, gluing down the Peach one and I popped the Flamingo one up with Dimensionals.

Thanks so much for visiting me today .  I hope you enjoyed my card today especially the different technique I used the stamp set for.  If you would like to order the supplies to create the Stampin Up Gift of Love card: simply click on the “shop with me” button below, I would be most happy to be your demonstrator.

Your card is gorgeous! I bet the flowers would look just as pretty in the new sweet sugarplum color. Love that tiny peach border peeking out under the DSP, really balances the peach flowers nicely.
