Hi friends, my share today is created with the Stampin Up World of Dreams for Stamping and Blogging sketch #112. It also includes a fun little technique for a cool background.
This little bird image is special to Ian and I this week, recently a mamma bird built her nest in our little Hibiscus tree out on our back deck. So we provided water, (Lucky and Oscar contributed dog hair for the nest) and we watched over everyone as they hatched. This past weekend they learned to fly. We had 4 little babies in our care sadly one of the little guys was injured while learning and while we nursed him as best we could, he has gone to heaven, the other 3 along with their mamma and papa visit us regularly and still check out their little nest – and this stamp reminds us of them.
Sandi’s Tips & Tricks:
I used the Clear Block D for my background, stamping it in Delightful Dijon, spritzed it with water and then stamped it onto a piece of watercolor paper – cool results right? Depending on how much water you spritz, you can play with it a little while it dries, getting those cool drips….then I heat Embossed my image of those two adorable birdies
Something else that is cool – the NEW Corrugated Paper that Stampin Up introduced in the new catalog….Loving it – Page 148. My background in this card is created with the Kraft, and the package also comes with white. two 12 x 12 sheets of each……Love the texture it adds to the background of my cards…
I chose two different designer papers for my background, the Dijon one is from Bohemian, the other from the Go Wild Paper Stack
